Review:
Established in 1978 the Mason Dixon Football League is the longest standing semi pro football team on the east coast. The Mason Dixon Football League, also known as the MDFL, features teams that have been in operation for a long time and have built credibility not only in the MDFL but nationally, such as the 4 time MDFL Champions Arbutus Big Red and the 5 time and current MDFL Champions, the Virginia Crusaders. Many players in the Mason Dixon Football League were local high school football stars, former college football players and some even having professional football experience. Mason Dixon Football League games tend to take place on very well maintained fields and have a high fan turn out. Not only do the games have a high level football atmosphere, they are frequently attended by Division 1 football scouts, Arena Football League (AFL) scouts and even NFL scouts looking for their next practice squad player. Many players from the MDFL go on to play at higher level and even professional level programs due to the high level of competition and the amount of exposure that players in the MDFL receive.

The Mason Dixon Football League is divided into two conferences, North and South. Each conference is split into to two divisions with 4 teams in each division. The MDFL plays a 10 game regular season with the champions of each division receiving preferential seeding for the play offs. The playoffs consist of 3 rounds with the winner of the North and South conference playing in the Mason Dixon Football League Championship. After the MDFL Champion is crowned a Mason Dixon Football League All Star game is played im the following weeks. The MDFL All Star game features teams from each division in a Northern Conference vs Southern Conference All Star game. With the extensive history of the Mason Dixon Football League, they have a Hall of Fame filled with players, coaches and league executives who have made a positive impact on the MDFL over the years. With passionate players and coaches, extensive league history and tradition, and national exposure, the Mason Dixon Football League is the top Semi Pro Football League for the fall season.
